Summoning Jutsu!
You know the skill. Summoning techniques are an advanced form of space-time ninjutus often employed by shinobi, and also Necromancers to employ creatures -- intelligent or not -- to do their bidding. However, despite it's prevalence in the series, there are many factors of the summoning technique that often remain unanswered, or well aren't quite as consistent. For all the information needed on -our- take on summons, look no further.
Summons tend to have consistent factors or facet that tie into their manifestation. These being. .
- Skill Rank: Letter grades, the higher the grade, the more difficult they are to summon and maintain.
- Time Limit: Most summons can only be held out for so long.
- Energy Consumption: The longer they're out, the more taxing it'll be on the user.
Types
To classify summoning, we break them down into two types.
General
What a general Summoning is is essentially a summoning that does not have any specifications. These are the nameless creatures you can conjure, ones of which are typically expend-able and vary based on the user's skill level and chakra quantity. They can range in skill power, going from D to S. Consider these like the various nameless Snakes that Orochimaru was capable of conjuring, ones that are accessible to all members who hold the contract.
While not as powerful as a Personal Summon, General Summons have distinctive advantages.
- They tend to be less chakra intensive.
- They are completely expendable, as one dying can simply be replaced with another creature being conjured.
- Most importantly, you have the potential to summon multiple of summons of this type to allow for sheer numbers.
- General summons tend to have a less restrictive time limit.
Personal Summons
Personal Summons are a just slightly different from a General version. Typically, they're derived from General Summons as well, and all possess a specific set of attributes and unique abilities. Personal Summons are by far superior to their General counterparts, and can even surpass actual PCs when it comes to overall battle abilities. More over, just as with a regular player, the Personal Summon is capable of progressing -- legitimately allowing them to grow in conjunction with their partners over time.
- Personal Summons tend to cost far more chakra, however, and can take additional turns to build up.
- However, they are far more versatile and can learn an array of skills all on their own.
- Tend to have a shorter time limit of use.
- If killed, they die for good.
How to Progress Summons??
- The process is simple! For General Summons, you'll merely have to go through the specifics with an admin -- most commonly in Jutsu Applications! Once settled, based on the rankings, a certain amount of RPP will be charged and once given, you have your summon. As stated before, to go to the next stage, you'll have to have mastered or obtained a high level of mastery in a previous stage.
- For Personal Summons, the process is a tad different. I don't believe in forcing a person to use RPPs to develops summons that very well should be growing stronger with them. All you'd have to do is an initial payment to derive or purchase a base level personal. As such, for these, all you have to do is save developmental Rps and periodically approach an admin to gain boosts or add-on with your familiar summons. Based on negotiations, your pet will gain power-ups and thus can become a more formidable threat. In addition, if one of your personal summons die, you can try to obtain another by deriving from a lower-leveled General Summon.
Other Information
Lycans
- Lycans are a different class of summoners -- a rare one, and something that exclusively bares you from ever pursuing Sagemode. It requires admin permission. In any case, rather than learning how to properly balance Natural Energy with your Chakra, the user's body instead is morphed, forever changing their base form into a strange mix of human, inserted with whatever species they hold an affinity for.
- As a direct consequence, their power is forever morphed, be it for the positive or negative. However, this leaves the individual accessible to a slew of animal-related abilities and advantages, and while it is inferior to Sagemode, there will be no waiting period, nor build-up. In addiiton, you'll gain a higher aptitude to make versatile and unique techniques.
One thing I intend to implement is a time limit for summons. Depending on your ability with summons, the summon's strength, and the amount of energy left, your spawned creatures will only be able to stay on this plane of existence for a set amount of time.
Special, summon-based skills will often require a specific proficiency with Summoning Jutsu in general.
Lastly, it's obvious. If you even want to dream about sage-mode, this will be the class that you require.
