Clan Ideas
Currently Illusions of grandeur is missing the variety that comes with Naruto clans. There isn't that many clans to choose from, they the basic and most popular clans that are quite generic and you can always create a custom clan but they are quite barren. The lack of content in customs is what scares away quite alot of players so what we should be doing is implenting a variety of the clans. Even some of the more powerful ones that seem quite a bit overpowered but I think that they should be strong to a certain degree it would add a element of spice to the game making more diverse characters. So here are my ideas for Clans and bloodline traits.
Fuma Clan
This clan belongs to amegakure it could be locked to give amegakure a wider player base. They are a highly aggressive clan that fight using their signature Fuma shuriken a large, four-bladed weapon. This could be used to build a quite tenten like build which would be quite good.
The perks would be a basic structure of Fuma Shuriken proficiency T1-T4(T1-T8?). This would be the basic proficiency skill available to the Fuma clan and with each level you are able to create customs of a certain rank eg T1 D rank and T2 C rank. Perhaps having a mastery perk as well such as Fuma clan mastery here is the basic layout for the perks.
Fuma Shuriken proficiency T1-T4, increase reflexes and attack speed each level.
Fuma Clan Mastery T4, Increases Reflex and attack speed, Gives a +10 damage to all Fuma shuriken techniques.
Fuma Clan T1, Just for being a member they should receive a basic Fuma Shuriken.
They could also have some custom jutsus added Eg.
Mimicking Fuma, C rank.
The Fuma clan member throws out two shurikens parallel on a slight curve, do to their reflexes and control they are able to throw the shuriken at a slight angle as they travels through the air before they hit the opponent the fuma shuriken hit each over sending them on a pronged curved attack with two massive Fuma shuriken.
Hoki Family
This is a clan of Sunagakure it was featured in the Gaara Hiden, They are a medical clan but they have one unique quirk that I think makes them a very interesting character to play. They are only female and are always wearing makeup except for the man she is going to marry. That is a very interesting cultural thing that could add some diversity.
Now this clan wouldn't have a wide range of perks considering that the medical tree is already quite fleshed out. I just believe the basic Hoki clan perk would suffice with some custom jutsus maybe?
Hoki clan T1-T4, Increase in chakra control with each level?
Kodon Clan
This another clan featured in a Hiden but it adds quite a neat passive effect that could make the user want to go for more of a passive character that doesn't fight? I think this clan could really promote illegal substances that could add additional conflict?
There special ability is to create a special drug known as Kotaro which can be used to control other shinobi, erase their memories and other such things it is a narcotic which could promote the black market or other kinds of controversy in the world other than a evil villain bad guy?
They could also create another substance known as Blue fire powder, it is a powder when mixed with water creates powerful explosions so perhaps there could be other powders such a Red fire powder(Katon related), Purple fire powder (Raiton), Yellow fire powder(Futon), Brown fire powder(Doton)
Yuki Clan
Wood release has Senju so Ice release should have Yuki, now the releases don't need to be restricted to Yuki clan instead give players a incentive to play a Yuki clan. The Clan should have its on separate ice techniques that only they can get? Or perhaps a custom training perk?
Yuki Clan T1, (Ice release)
Yuki Ice style,( Increases chakra control, Gives access to specific Ice techniques?)
Traits or Mutations
Jugo Trait: The recipient of this mutation is prone to berserk rages as they naturally take in chakra
Kurama Trait: This users genjutsu ability is so powerful that at high levels it can manifest into reality, of course the user has no control of this and this ability is quite tied to the emotions.
Ōtsutsuki: This would be a extremely rare mutation that would be very hard to get but if you did you could be a member of the Otsutsuki clan.
Lee: This trait would be quite rare and would cause the user to be incapable of ninjutsu or genjutsu, but receives a massive bonus to his taijutsu.
